hey all,
just a quick heads up with the latest material from our online-only label,
Monotonik. as always, we release neat stuff for free mp3 download, so
there's no excuse not to at least check it out, right? :P
not sure when i last mailed the list, but the brand new release is from the
_amazing_ Swedish C64 musician Goto80. He's been getting rave reviews for
his vocoders+SIDchip "Papaya EP" 7" that's out on Bleep Street Records, and
his first release on Monotonik is "Monkeywarning", an 11-minute mix of
idm.d+b.eklektronik madness that's done _entirely_ on a Commodore 64. and
it's pretty insane stuff, well worth checking.
previous to that, we put out a track by Sense, "Icy L Tap", on the 1st of
January, which is also featured on the "Cottage Industries 2" comp on
Neo-Ouija, and is customarily gorgeous ambient.idm.action :) Also, we just
put out a neat 60-minute mix of the cult .MOD artist Mortimer Twang on our
Mono211 breakbeat sublabel.
